1. Pokémon Gold and Silver – Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo, Pokémon Gold and Silver were two of the best-selling Game Boy Color games of all time. They were the first two games in the Pokémon series to feature a color palette and introduced a variety of new features, such as day/night cycles, breeding, and the ability to trade Pokémon with other players.
2. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons – Developed by Capcom and published by Nintendo, these two games were part of the Oracle series in The Legend of Zelda franchise. They featured an expansive world map, challenging puzzles, and unique gameplay mechanics that set them apart from other Zelda games.
3. Super Mario Bros. Deluxe – Developed by Nintendo and published by Nintendo, this game was an enhanced version of the classic Super Mario Bros. for the NES. It featured new levels, power-ups, and enemies, as well as a save feature and a two-player mode.
4. Yoshi’s Story – Developed by Nintendo and published by Nintendo, this game was a side-scrolling platformer starring Mario’s dinosaur friend Yoshi. It featured colorful graphics, fun minigames, and a unique storybook-style presentation.
5. Wario Land 3 – Developed by Nintendo and published by Nintendo, this game was the third installment in the Wario Land series. It featured a variety of levels, enemies, and power-ups, as well as a unique “body-swapping” mechanic that allowed players to take control of enemies.
6. Kirby Tilt n' Tumble – Developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo, this game was an action-puzzle hybrid that used the Game Boy Color’s tilt sensor to control Kirby’s movements. It featured a variety of levels, power-ups, and enemies.
7. Mario Golf – Developed by Camelot Software Planning and published by Nintendo, this game was a golf simulation featuring Mario and other characters from the Mario series. It featured multiple courses, various gameplay modes, and an arcade-style minigame.
8. Donkey Kong Country – Developed by Rare and published by Nintendo, this game was a side-scrolling platformer starring Donkey Kong and his pal Diddy Kong. It featured colorful graphics, challenging levels, and a variety of power-ups.
9. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX – Developed by Nintendo and published by Nintendo, this game was a remake of the classic 1993 Game Boy game The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. It featured enhanced graphics, a new dungeon, and a color-based puzzle system.
10. Metal Gear Solid – Developed by Konami and published by Konami, this game was a port of the classic PlayStation game Metal Gear Solid. It featured enhanced graphics, a new control scheme, and a variety of new features, such as a VR training mode.
